Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)

Tools, strategies, and systems that supplement or replace spoken language for individuals with speech or language impairments.

About This Program

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) refers to tools, strategies, and systems that supplement or replace spoken language for individuals with speech or language impairments. AAC can benefit people of all ages who have difficulty communicating through speech alone.

At Let's Talk, we evaluate each client's communication needs and match them with the most effective AAC system — whether that's low-tech options like picture boards and communication books, or high-tech solutions like speech-generating devices and tablet-based apps.

Our goal is to empower every individual with a reliable way to express their thoughts, needs, and feelings. We work closely with families, caregivers, and educators to ensure AAC systems are integrated into daily routines and that communication partners are trained to support successful interaction.
